Inverour is ideally placed to travel North towards Inverness, South towards the Oban area, East towards the Cairngorms or West towards Skye and can be taken as day excursions.

The spectacular scenery of Glen Roy nature reserve  is on our doorstep, with its abundance of wildlife, from butterfies, to eagles, hedgehogs and pine martens. Also of course its famous parallel roads, a geological wonderland, that has obtained a Geopark status.

For those who just want to get away from it all, there are unlimited places to explore whether on foot, bike, or in the car. Peace and tranquility are just a stone’s throw away, we can point you to areas where you can spend the day in absolute solitude!  with only a bird song, perhaps the cuckoo if the season’s correct.

Locally you can visit the world famous Commando Memorial, built to commemorate the Commandos, who trained at Spean Bridge during World War II.

Close by is Nevis Range, take a trip up the Gondola; go skiiing in winter! They have a new High Wire adventure here, the Zip wires are fun for all ages.

On our doorstep, enjoy the High Bridge Walk, see the old ruins of General Wades Road.

Not forgetting the famous Parallel Roads at Roy Bridge, a geological vision.

In near by Fort Wiliam there are the ruins of Old Inverlochy Castle. Scene of an historical battle.
